The 7th grade ELA classes recently hosted a Wax Museum to culminate a month-long unit on research and biographies. Each student was given an influential figure to research, choose significant areas of their lives to write an essay on, and then “become” them. For two hours, the students transformed themselves into the historical figures, full dress and props included, and gave a brief speech as visitors from the school walked up and pressed their button to learn more about them. It was wonderful to see these historical figures “come to life” as a learning experience for all.
